The Headwaters program is designed to treat individuals of means and also licensed professionals for whom addiction is a threat to their livelihoods such as doctors, lawyers, dentists, therapists, and pilots. Patient capacity at Headwaters is restricted to assure a high staff-to-patient ratio, ensuring treatment is highly individualized and patient-focused.

The multidisciplinary team will consist of the field’s most respected:

  • Addictionologists
  • Physicians
  • Psychiatrists
  •  Psychological services experts
  • Psychotherapists
  • Spiritual counselors
  • 12-Step educators
  • Nutritionists
  • Holistic practitioners, including those with a focus on breathwork, somatic experiencing, yoga and other physical training.

The pre-admission process is extremely important to assure optimal outcomes once the patient enters treatment. To that end, we work intensively from the outset with the patient’s existing support structure and influencers – family members, business colleagues, psychiatrists, financial advisors and concerned friends. Our goal is to establish a sound foundation for communication with those in this circle and incorporate their knowledge and expertise in positive ways that help the patient feel safe about entering treatment.

We are very mindful of the importance of privacy with our patients. We are experienced in mediating between what’s private to the patients and what their family and support structures need to know in order to stay informed and to actively participate in the recovery process.

Our staff understands the importance of developing rapport and trust quickly during this critical time; we recognize the significance of the issues, behaviors and defenses that often come up with professionals and high-net-worth individuals. We take very seriously our role as advocates, and we work diligently to preempt catastrophic losses that may be in the balance during the time of treatment. This requires an understanding of each patient’s specific life circumstances, situation and history. We believe that through trust and healthy empowerment, restorative balance and recovery in all aspects of life can be achieved.
